Tephrosia pumila Botanical Description

Procumbent pubescent herbs. Leaflets to 1.5 x 0.8 cm, obovate, mucronate, base cuneate, silky pubescent; petiolule to 1 mm, stipule 5 mm, linear, hairy. Flowers white; bracts 5 mm, linear; calyx tube 2 mm, pubescent, lobes 3 and 2 mm, linear, hairy; corolla 8 mm long; staminal tube 6 mm, filaments 2 mm; ovary 4 mm, tomentose, style 2 mm, glabrous. Pod 3 x 0.4 cm, oblong, pubescent. Fl. &Fr.: July-September.

Tephrosia pumila Medicinal uses

A root useful for piles and hydrocoel. seed oil is used in ringworm& cough.
