Herissantia crispa Botanical Description
Herbs with zig-zag branches, covered with short stellate and spreading simple hairs. Stipules filiform Leaves orbicular-ovate, acuminate. Crenate-dentate, membranous, 8 X 8 cm. Flowers axillary, solitary, yellow; Pedicels slender, shorter than petiole, Calyx deeply 5-10 lobed, 0.7 cm long; lobes ovate-oblong. Petals nearly as long as sepals. Schizocarp globose, 1 cm across Mericarps 10-15, transluscent, inflated, rounded at apex.
